When Fabric Becomes a Canvas

Share

I don’t see garments simply as clothing. To me, they are artistic creations where painting and craftsmanship come together to create wearable artwork.

This dress began as a plain white fabric. Instead of working with a ready-made print, I chose to create my own.

The fabric was hand-dyed in shades of blue, and the vertical lines were then painted one by one. No two lines are exactly the same, and that’s exactly how I want them to be.

No two people are the same.

So why should two garments be?

Every piece carries its own subtle differences—not as imperfections, but as a natural result of the handmade process.

To me, this is the true value of handmade work. Every creation is unique, just like the person who wears it.
